Happy Halloween!

VOTE!

We are learning about Elections.
Mrs. McAllister's class and mine decided to vote for the best Packer President for Glenbrook Elementary School  We went through the voting process and nominated candidates, held a primary election, campaigned, and then voted with ballots.  Here we are with our voting buttons!  Results will be known tomorrow!  Aaron Rodgers or Donald Driver!

Labeling Fun!

We are learning about nonfiction books and the features that are in the books.  Today we discussed labels and YUP the kids labeled me!

Bugging the Kids

We tried so hard to bug the kids while they were writing.  Nothing we did could distract these TOUGH kids from writing, writing, writing.

Katie McKy

I am sure you heard about Katie McKy.  Katie is an author that came to Glenbrook Elementary for a week. The kids were sooo excited to meet her.  She did 2 all school assemblies and then met with each class for an hour to work on writing.  The kids did a great job!  Ask the kids about S'mores!

Harvest of the Month

Each month the second graders will get to participate in a program called Harvest of the Month.  This program encourages children to try new fruits and vegetables.  They learned all about apples and even got to taste one!  YUM!

The Butterflies Go Free

We let the butterflies go today!  The kids had so much fun watching them fly away.  Hope they find a warm home soon!
