Box Top and Milk Cap Wars...Winners

All second graders received a FREE book from the book fair.  We were the big winners of the Box Top and Milk Cap wars.  Thank you PTO for a wonderful prize!

WOW!

Okay so this week was one that tops the charts!  First, we skyped with our new friends in the United Kingdom and New Zealand.  We learned so many amazing things about them.  We learned that we go to school quite a bit longer each day than they do.  We also learned that the children must wear school uniforms which is very different than us.  Both classes have students that are the same age as us.  However, they have 28-30 kids in their classes and we have only 17.  I told the kids that our classroom would be packed with that many kids.  So neat and we are planning to Skype with both of them again in the near future.  Until then, we will be blogging with them.  Check out the blogs in the side bar and take a look at their schools.

There was an Old Lady....

We read a story called There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed Some Books for our Writing For Fun Time.  We stuffed my Old Lady with all the goodies.  She was overflowing.
