Lenny the Leprechaun

If you haven't heard already, then let me be the first to tell you about Lenny the Leprechaun.  Every year for the past 6-7 years, Lenny has traveled from the Emerald Isle to visit our class.  He is a crafty little leprechaun and has been known to cause a bit of mischief.  He only stays until St. Patrick's Day and then leaves.  Every year we try our best to capture our little friend but up till this point we have had no luck!  This is what Lenny was up to today!

Seusstastic Week

It was a great week at Glenbrook Elementary.  We celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday in style.  We even had some high school kids come read to us!  Soooo much fun!

A little more Olympics!

2nd Grade Olympic Fun

On Friday the second graders got a chance to participate in the 2nd Grade Olympics.  The children were able to bobsled, play hockey, make flags, and even run in a torch relay.  The day ended with speed skating as the final event!

We put some words to rest yesterday.  We've been talking about using juicy, fun words in our writing.  Bye Bye BAD, HAPPY, and SAD!
