Hello Cole and Austin!

Hi Cole and Austin,

Thanks for writing back. Wow! You both are having lots of fun. I'm so glad to hear you did the reading program Austin. Good luck with football. Hope you keep passing levels in swimming. I passed all the levels when I was a kid and actually became a lifeguard and swim instructor. I taught swim lessons for about 6 years.

Cole...Sounds like you are having a great summer too. I bet you had fun in Michigan. I haven't been to Michigan in a really long time. My parent live on a lake in Tomahawk and I went water skiing during the 4th of July!

At Disney World, I didn't get to ride any of the big rollercoasters because Hailey was too little. I did take her on Goofy's Barnstormer Rollercoaster and we had a blast...we rode it 3 times! I also loved Animal Kingdom. We had front row seats at the Lion King show and Hailey got to dance with all the people. I also got to meet Cinderella, Handy Manny, Pooh, and a ton of other characters. Hailey got all their autographs!

We took Hailey, Brock, and Brayden camping last weekend for the first time. Brock and Brayden loved swimming in the pool. They also really enjoyed the playground. We are going to go camping one more time this summer before school starts.

I bet you are getting excited to find out who your teachers will be! I'm sure you will have a blast in third grade. You might get a little more homework though!!

Summer Fun

HI Everyone,

I don't know if you guys check this over the summer or not but I thought I would post anyhow. I hope that you are all having a fabulous summer vacation. I had a super time at Disney World with Hailey. It was soooo hot though. It was close to 100 degrees each day. Hailey loved all the rides. She can't wait to go back again. The boys are still crazy...they love to tackle each other. I am teaching summer school right now and Cade, Dylan, Ari, and Natalie were all in my class. It was really nice seeing them. It was fun learning all about the Magic School Bus. Before you know it, school will be starting again. I think you have about 6 more weeks of vacation and then you will be third graders. Keep checking the blog during the summer and school year! Write back and tell me what you have been doing this summer!

Next Friday is our last day of school and it is only a half day. Today was sunglasses and shades day. Many of the kids wore their glasses. We are working on our second grade memory books and today we worked on self portraits. We will be feeding Marley because the poor monkey is probably starving. We are reading fairy tales during genre time!!! We have a yo-yo guy coming tomorrow. Check my family folder to see information about him and the teachers that will be in the dunk tank this summer. Bring a board game or card game for tomorrow! We had donuts and milk and found out that Mrs. McAllister is having a BABY! We learned how to write a burrito topic sentence yesterday and practiced again today. We are working on summaries. Have a tremendous night....The Class

It is hat day. In science we are learning about genres. We are reading fables. A fable is a story that has a moral. You learn something from these stories. We had a few minutes of free time because we worked hard today. We had to write to our third grade teachers today. We wrote a paragraph about second grade. Alot of people passed rocket math. Tomorrow is I day....interesting fact day. Have a treemendous night...the Class!

We earned a banana party. On Friday, we can bring our favorite game to school. We are going to have a board game day.

Tomorrow we are going to tell what we learned about dinosaurs. Last night Mrs. Wiedeman was on television. We earned our banana party. We get to bring our favorite drink to school tomorrow. We may bring soda, juice, a sports drink, or water. We had alot of people pass rocket math yesterday. Tomorrow is our spelling test. Have a banareffic night...the class.

Mrs. Wiedeman is getting ready for the big day tomorrow. Mrs. Wiedeman gets to ride in a limo. We get a special snack and Mrs. Wiedeman is going to use the flip camera to tape us. She is wearing high heels today to practice. We will have a substitute tomorrow. His name is Mr. Baldwin. We will be on our best behavior or we will not be able to watch the limo pick Mrs. Wiedeman up. We measured dinosaurs in the hallway. We are making movies on eating Oreo cookies.
