Project Starfish

This week Mrs. Miller talked to us about Project Starfish.  The students at Glenbrook are going to help raise money to build a well in Nigeria.   The kids each got a bottle of water to drink.  We collected all the empty bottles and the kids will be making banks in art class with Mr. Kralapp.  The kids will then bring them home and can collect extra change that they may have or that family members give them.  The Glenbrook PTO will collect the banks in December and at the end of the year.  Hopefully we will collect enough to build the well!

First Team Competition

Each month in second grade we do a grade level team competition.  The kids work hard as a team to earn ribbons for their classrooms.  Our class did great with the running races.  Charlie received a 3rd place and Brooklyn took 6th!  Way to go!

We have started learning some new math games including Addition Top It and the Money Exchange Game!  Lots of fun!

Our Babies

Our babies arrived this week and they were sooooo tiny.  The kids got a chance to build homes for their caterpillars.  What did you name your caterpillar?
